Coming from Vienna it takes quite a while to reach Admont. The small town with the famous Abbey is located in the Gesäuse, a lovely area basically in the middle of Austria. Styria is called the green heart of austria for a reason, its lovely.
Admont was choosen as its the town of the brides origin, and with that amazing monestary and church, how could you choose differently?
My weekend in Admont started with some location scouting on friday, when I arrived in the afternoon. The area around the abbey is filled with parks so that was done quickly. With some rough ideas about where to shoot the bridal portraits, I took off to my room to be rested for the big day.
When I arrived at the getting ready of the bridal party in the next morning, everyone was already rushing around doing stuff. I love the energy in the air in those moments, you cant be part without feeling the excitement.
Afterwards I made my way back to the groom and his best man who were getting ready on the Castle Röthelstein where the reception, dinner and party would take place later.
Thanks for viewing <3
PS: Getting married? I’d love to hear from you.
Let me take you back to a lovely day in last August. Julia and Kai decided to have their wedding at the Gabrium. This lovely new location is just south of Vienna. The Gabrium is an former monastery which was repurposed as a hotel/event location. And. It’s. Lovely.
At the start of 2018 I had the pleasure to support the viennese Dodgeball Team “The Nasty Nutcrackers Union DC” with a media sponsorship in the form of team pictures!
The goal of the shoot was to portrait every player and to create some nice group pictures to be used by the team in the coming season, including the participation at the Dodgeball World Cup in New York City!
Weddings don’t always have to be big; as so often in life, sometimes less is more.
We just strolled through the inner city shortly before their civil ceremony to capture some beautiful photographs in front of the lovely viennese scenery. The inner city with all its nooks and crannies is great for shoots like these.
When I first met Evelyn, it was through our mutual friend Juliana. She told me her best friend was going to get married and so we started talking :)
It’s been quite some time since my last blog entry, but finally I found some time to write
something for you!
One of the first weddings I documented this year took place on the southern edge of Burgenland.
And if I say southern I mean my phone wanted to connect to the hungarian service provider ;)
The „Träumerei“ is an awesome Wedding Location that can be reached by car from Vienna in a
little something over two hours. When you finally reach the area with help from your GPS you are
greeted by a wonderful scenery located between wineyards and green meadows. Or by Rain, like
Dorren is 26yo and from New York City, he’s currently living in Vienna and working as a Dancer and Artist. I really enjoyed hanging out and capturing some nice scenes with him, and it definitely wasn’t the last time! He’s a very nice guy and I’m very happy that I could “introduce him to my imagination” like he stated ;) Enjoy!
